Today we present this beautiful rstored 1970 Mustang Mach 1
original 351 Cleveland-4V car restored in it's original shade of
Ford Yellow. The Deluxe Marti report documents original options
such as "Shaker" Ram Air Hood Scoop, Power Front Disc Brakes, Power
Steering, and Air Conditioning. During restoration the automatic
transmission was upgraded with a 5-Speed manual transmission.
Factory options such as 15" Magnum 500 wheels, rear window louvers,
front and rear spoilers, and intermittent wipers were added. This
Mach 1was built to drive and enjoy and it runs and drives out very
nicely and is a reliable cruiser.
What is believed to be the original D0AE, 2-Bolt main bolt was
completely rebuilt during the restoration, with notes from the
previous owner showing upgrades such as Holley 750 dual line
carburetor, dual point distributor, Boss 351 connecting rods,
stainless steel valves & hardened seats on the 4V open-chamber
heads as well as a roller valve train assembly. With these
upgrades, the Mach 1 runs out well. It is shifted by a modern T5,
5-Speed manual transmission with Kelsey Hayes HD clutch and
pressure plate feeding power to a 3.50 gear ratio in what is
believed to be the original rear end assembly. The suspension was
completely rebuilt including Power Steering, Steering Box, heavy
duty front and rear springs and poly-urethane bushings all
around.
The interior was mostly restored to original specifications with
the exception of Shelby-style console gauges and Hurts shifter
assembly. It sports Mach 1 buckets, center console, woodgrain dash
and door inserts as well as "Fold-Down" rear seat assembly.
This Mach 1's original options are documented by a Deluxe Marti
Report (original invoice copies are pending from Marti Auto Works)
as well as history and restoration receipts dating back to 1990.
