2009 Mini Cooper
This car is a 4 owner car, purchased initially in NC by a MA owner. The car stayed in MA through it's second owner and 2012. The third owner, from CT, purchased the car and owned it through 2017, when it went up for auction. The current owner bought the Mini at that auction. The clean CarFax shows no reportable problems, however, there was a knock and the current owner's husband installed a used engine with 70K miles on it. Being quite the car guy, this car was his daily driver and was well serviced and well cared for, with the oil and filter being changed out every 3000 miles.
The car still wears it's original Horizon Blue Metallic paint which has a couple of small blemishes but still looks great. There is a small dent in the roof line on the driver's side.
The car came from the factory well optioned and includes the full leather interior; heated seats; AC, which works and blows cold; PS; Power 4 wheel disc brakes; PW; Power Mirrors; Front, Side and Overhead airbags; Panoramic dual sunroofs, F&R; Cruise control; Sport Mode; Stability Control w/bypass; three intermittent wipers; tilt wheel; dual glove boxes; fold down rear seats; door lights and bluetooth connectivity.
As mentioned, in late 2018 the engine was replaced with a 70K mile unit, it currently has 90,000 miles on it. It churns out 118 HP and puts that to the front wheels via a 6 speed manual transmission. When the engine was replaced, the rust prone cradle beneath the engine was also replaced with a used unit in better condition.
The car is very solid, with obvious surface rust on some chassis components but no rot and the body is also rust free. The car rides and drives well and with the 6 speed, makes it a much sportier ride. The 4 wheel discs slow it easily and the overall design of the car make it nimble and fun to toss through the twisties. These make great autocross cars. The tires are relatively new 195/50/R16, with Pirelli SnowSports in front and Bridgestone Ecopias in back on stock aluminum wheels.
This car will make a great, fun, reliable daily driver or possibly a weekend autocross car, or even a first car for that adventuresome teen who's willing to learn about using three pedals instead of two.. or none.
