Vehicle Description
In 1958 the PV544 was phased in while the 444 was phased out. This
run of 544's run was until 1966. The PV was a series of two and
four-door passenger cars that were built post- WWII, although
promised in 1944 but with the war and raw-material shortage, the
public had to wait. the 544 received incremental mechanical changes
and minor cosmetic changes throughout the years.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1961 Volvo PV544 for
your consideration. The 1.8 Liter engine starts perfectly and idles
almost immediately. It runs, shifts, drives and brakes very nicely
with good acceleration and throttle response. The manual
transmission functions smoothly as well. Highlights include roll
back soft moonroof, Sunpro gauges, tachometer, CD player. The body
appears to be straight and solid and shows well. The gray cloth
interior is neat and tidy and in good condition overall.
