Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Pontiac Trans Am which is fully restored with factory T Tops and rebuilt original 403 engine. This TA has been very nicely restored over the last 5 years and the original 403 engine was just fully restored. This Trans Am features beautiful Heritage Brown Paint, Factory T-Tops, a fully rebuilt original 403 engine, fully restored interior, and numerous service records and receipts.
Exterior
The Heritage Brown exterior is in very nice restored condition. The paint was redone around 5 years ago with new decals applied at that time. The front bumper grills and front nose emblem were replaced. The paint shows very well and has a nice gloss and shine and is smooth to the touch. The underside is very honest and solid and is in excellent shape. The bumpers are in great overall condition and look good on the car. The tires are brand new and have full tread left and are sized 225/70/15 and the 15x7 Snowflake wheels are originals in great overall condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in like new condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original felt trunk mat, spare tire, jack, and fisher T Top bags.
Interior
This interior of this TA has been fully restored in Factory correct deluxe camel Tan. The seat covers were replaced and are like new and are very comfortable. The carpet was replaced and is in great condition with no major stains or holes. Brand new Camel Deluxe door panels were added with new door pulls, door lock knobs, and door cups. The headliner was replaced and is not sagging at all and is the perforated correct material. A new camel dash cap was installed and is fitted nicely. A restored gold dash bezel by Randy Combs was installed as well as a new steering wheel. All plastics were removed and cleaned and re-dyed and look like new. A new package tray was installed as were new rocker sills. A modern Alpine stereo was added with new speakers which sounds awesome. The gauges all work properly. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The wipers, gauges, heater, power windows and stereo all work. The horn is not working.
Mechanical
This TA is in exceptional mechanical condition and many mechanical systems have been restored. The original 403 engine was full rebuilt in 10/2021 and has an estimated 300 HP. See engine build sheet for details. An upgraded mild cam was installed and engine was bored .30 over and line bored. The original heads were fully rebuilt and the original crank was sent out for restoration. A new distributor and new spark plugs and wires were installed. A new starter was installed. New fuel pump and water pump were installed. A new aluminum champion radiator was installed. A new aluminum Edelbrock intake was installed. We have driven this TA numerous times around town and on the highway and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. The majority of the included receipts are for mechanical upgrades around the car. See photos above highlighting recent work performed on this fine TA. This TA is an excellent driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. This TA has newer dual exhaust with upgraded Thorton exhaust manifolds with performance mufflers and sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is meticulously clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory NON AC car which really cleans up the engine bay and adds to performance.
