This 1955 Ford Thunderbird replica looks correct in all the right
places, but then you also get a lighter body, a more comfortable
interior, a better suspension, a five-speed, and upgraded V8
power... and all of these improvements come at a seriously deep
discount.
You know this iconic shape, and so does everyone else. This is a
great tribute to an American classic that carries all the right
elements (heck, the color makes it a red-blooded American.) The
bright chrome bumper and mesh grille get the shine right for the
legend. And so does the hood scoop, fender trim, jet-inspired tail
lights. You even get a removable hardtop with porthole side
windows. But this one also has the right dose of added street
machine attitude. They don't replicate the badging to give the body
a sleeker style. The Weld alloys have a classic racer style,
especially with the wider rear set that gives this a sporty stance.
And when the roof is off, you get to showcase the roll bar. And
this replica is done in fiberglass. So it's not only good for
avoiding corrosion, but it's also lighter than steel.
The interior is a nice mix of style and substance. The dark package
looks good against the bright red exterior. And the dual bucket
seats with excellent bolstering make this far more of a personal
car than even the original Thunderbird. You've also got some
worthwhile modern upgrades like an AM/FM/CD stereo and provisions
for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold
again.) It's a nice driver's setup with a Grant GT sports steering
wheel and a five-speed floor shifter. And while you get the classic
T-bird plexiglass speedometer, this is surrounded by upgrade
gauges, including a handy tach.
Under the hood might just be your favorite update over the
original. This T-Bird tribute has Ford's hardy 351 cubic-inch V8 in
the engine bay. It looks powerful with the unique air grabber and
Ford Racing polished valve covers. And it lives up to this
authoritative style with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor,
performance intake, and headers feeding into the dual exhaust. This
also has the right supporting components like an HEI distributor
and an aluminum radiator with electric fan. It's a powerful package
that you'll love taking full control over with the five-speed
manual transmission. As you look underneath, you'll spot an
upgraded independent front end, a four-link rear, and adjustable
coilovers all-around. Plus, there's rack & pinion power steering
and power brakes with front discs to be a solid all-around
driver.
This Thunderbird replica gives you more power and style for less
price than an original. That makes for a head-turning classic that
was built to be driven. Call today!!!
