Vehicle Description
We're really starting to look out for those few well-loved and
maintained classic Toyota trucks. That's what makes a two-owner-one
family example like this 1991 Toyota Pickup Extended Cab so
intriguing. After all, this one has long-term care and all the best
features - including the color-matched bed topper.
This pickup has the crisp lines and well-respected look you don't
find on many trucks that are past the 30-year mark. Even the red
paint is believed to be the factory application. It continues to
have the bright appearance and good gloss that comes from
one-family care. Part of the allure of this pickup is its
robustness, and so this is not a babied time capsule. It was
driven, enjoyed, and used responsibly - averaging only about 6k
miles a year. A good way to really understand its level of sensible
use is the way the color-matched fiberglass bed topper continues to
have a proper fit. And the bed inside looks more like people used
this panoramic 11-window topper to camp out under the stars rather
than carry any loads. It even has an electrical plug in the
bed.
The interior is loaded and well-preserved. For example, this
extended cab model means more room to recline those front seats.
And this is still a very versatile setup where you can sit up to
three in front or fold down the armrest for more individualized
comfort. And the rear has jump seats for smaller people and a great
place for added cargo. There is some use in the driver's seat, but
it's nice that it was left original so that we can see the
cool/classic cloth pattern. There are some great factory features
that not all trucks of this era received, including an AM/FM stereo
and a sliding rear window. And the factory air conditioning has
been upgraded to modern R134a, but it will need servicing to bow
cold again.
Under the hood is what makes this preserved Toyota so desirable. We
love this generation pickup because the 22R motor family is part of
a series that's one of the most celebrated hardy engines out there.
This 2.4-liter four-cylinder motor is also from the later
generation that has factory fuel injection for even better
consistency. It looks fantastically honest, fires up readily, and
runs strong. It's this level of originality that makes this pickup
a true stand-out as the market continues to get nostalgic for these
tough Toyotas. But more than just collectability, the pickup has a
lot of work and play left in it, too. It's easy to enjoy with a
nimble feeling from the power steering, power brakes, front discs,
and a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a two-owner and properly
maintained Toyota that knows how to get attention from real
enthusiasts. Call today!!!
