This 1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA has the big motor option,
rare features, and an all-around sense of cool style. It's the kind
of car that gets attention for all the right reasons.
Flame Red was the ideal choice for a GTA, and this one continues to
shine brightly. The deeper tones and metallic glow have the
sophisticated style to go perfectly with the golden accents. The
factory gave these GTAs side pinstripes to highlight the curves of
the profile and hallmark crosslace alloy wheels. But this one
really turns it up a notch with custom painted pinstriping that
draws added attention to the special badging on the hood and
b-pillars. Plus, what's a great Trans Am without a fire-breathing
Phoenix bird on the hood? And the full GTA body kit, vented hood,
bright exhaust tips, and well-integrated rear spoiler are all part
of this sleek and speedy total package.
The low odometer is believed to reflect the full actual mileage
(averaging less than 1,200 miles annually.) And where you really
see this less use is on the well-presented factory interior. And
for those looking for rarity, it's believed that the black leather
interior was ordered on less than 540 cars - making it the rarest
interior of 1988. The full blackout package and tinted windows set
the tone for a serious performance machine. But while this is mean
and speedy, it's also loaded. The GTA had special new-style bucket
seats that include electronic inflatable bolstering for extra
comfort in all conditions. Plus, you have power windows, power
locks, power steering, cruise control, and cold-blowing air
conditioning. The sports steering wheel is different from most
other cars you see, and that's for a good reason. It helps control
the optional full digital dash package. It's a rarely-seen feature
that gives this Pontiac the kind of tech that would even make KITT
jealous.
Under the hood is the optional Corvette-derived L98 5.7-liter
fuel-injected V8. It has a great stock style, right down to factory
decals on the radiator panel. But you can also see newer
maintenance items of a respected car. GM's 700R4 four-speed
automatic transmission was a good pairing because its stout nature
can handle the power and torque produced by the range-topping
engine. Plus, its quick-shifting nature and overdrive setup made it
versatile for everything from street to highway use. Four-wheel
power disc brakes, power steering, and the WS6 sports suspension
were also part of this great driving package.
This GTA has the best style, the best options, true rarity, and an
affordable price. So that makes it an irresistible deal on a
terrific T/A classic. Call today!!!
