For Sale: 1951 Ford Country Squire in Mesa, Arizona

Vehicle Description

This 1951 Ford Country Squire woody wagon is a full custom build with a cool style, custom interior, an upgraded suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, overdrive transmission, and fuel-injected power. It all goes to prove that you can have a true custom classic that's also great for modern cruising.

Ford made a lot of cars in 1951 because their post-WWII design was absolutely stylish. But the Country Squires are a truly rare treat because they were one of the most expensive Ford on the books. So that makes this an awesome place to start for a custom machine. They really took their time making this into something both vintage and unique. It has the best classic custom elements, including frenched headlights, dual spotlights, mirror-like bumpers, deleted door handles, custom LED taillights, and modern 17-inch alloys. They shaved the badging to make the body sleeker and then dipped it in Midnight Emerald Green Mica that's pure smooth sophistication. But of course, your favorite piece is going to be all that lumber. It's a professional setup from Rick Mack Enterprises utilizing maple and mahogany. So you know this woody has some seriously impressive wood.

The real wood returns inside, but it's the stylish tan leather that really takes center stage here. It's on a well-coordinated two-tone that starts on the seats and matches the door panels, carpeting, and headliner. It's easy to get comfortable with a power driver's seat and tilt steering column. There's also power windows and provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) It's a thoughtful build where they laid down Dynamat for the whole interior before the carpeting and panels went in. And you have cool pieces everywhere from the custom mahogany center console to the coco-style mats that are even in the rear cargo area.

This is a classic Ford, and so you have proper blue oval power under the hood. In fact, just about every enthusiast will recognize the polished intake of Ford's 5.0-liter fuel-injected V8. It's a tidy setup everywhere from the smooth inner walls to the polished alternator. And you'll spot great supporting components, like the Tru Trac serpentine belt system and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. It fires up readily as a proper FI machine should, and the SVO headers add power and rumble to the dual exhaust. Plus, the transmission has been upgraded to a four-speed automatic with highway-friendly overdrive. You also have a Fatman Mustang II style front end, front adjustable coilovers, power steering, and Baer four-wheel power disc brakes.

The sale comes complete with restoration photos and $$$$$ in build receipts. This is the kind of wagon that's great for everything from local awards to a full Power Tour run. Yes, it's that versatile and comfortable. So you know you don't want to miss this head-turning woody, call today!
