For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Impala in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

It's quite exceptional when a car has only had two owners over more than a half-century, and yet, that's certainly not what first going to attract you to this 1970 Chevrolet Impala Restomod. However, the low-ownership (and same owner since 1979) explains how you get a labor of love that took several years to complete. The stunning custom two-tone, leather-lined custom A/C interior, adjustable air ride suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and shining big 502ci V8 power are all part of an all-around awesome one-of-a-kind build.

The two-tone Tangelo Pearl and maroon lets you know instantly that this build is something special. These quality PPG paints have been laid down with a professional hand, and the deep luster has the kind of glow that makes the coupe look amazing. In fact, we're told the paint alone has won multiple top awards. And with only about 2k miles on this build since being completed in 2013, it has the all-out awesomeness to continue to bring home trophies. The two-tone is blended with a gold leaf that separates the two colors. Before the first drop of paint went down on the body, they made sure that the body panels were super-straight and gaps great. The brightwork is also a standout. It shows off the form of hugging chrome bumpers, bright bezels, modern Impala logos on the c-pillar, and the billet grille that even runs below the bumper. Plus, the aggressive Raceline wheels really set the one apart as a true restomod build. They add to the polished style while also having an aggressive 17/20-inch front/rear stance. And it all expertly tucks into the body when you feel like lowering the adjustable suspension nice and low for the car show.

The custom tobacco brown interior gives off a very cool mix of premium and performance. It gets better as you slip inside and realize there were large investments in upgrades, but there was a nice eye to making sure you always know this is a true classic. For example, the seats have a pattern like something Chevy would offer from the factory, but they are now finished in supple leather. Matching door panels, plush carpeting, a fully furnished trunk, smooth suede headliner, and the exterior two-tone returning on the dash all make for a show-worthy interior. There are some nice upgrades in comfort for everyone, like the cold-blowing air conditioning and a touchscreen AM/FM/CD stereo system with Bluetooth. But the moment you sit down in the driver's seat, you know this one is all about making you happy. You have a GM three-spoke steering wheel on a tilt column, a center console with air ride control within, a Hurst shifter, a dash dominated by the cool blue glow of the Dakota digital gauge cluster.

A great way to tell just how thoughtful a restoration can be is when you open the hood, and the exterior's detailed two-tone continues throughout the engine bay. At the heart of this is a 502 cubic-inch big block V8. It is said to have been installed in 2018, and tells you about the level of commitment to investing in this build even after the main restoration. And while the motor is newer, it looks like it has been here from day one with valve covers and accessories painted to match the inner fenders. But more than just look seriously awesome, this is seriously powerful. It's built with Quick Fuel 830 CFM four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and ceramic-coated Hooker headers. It's also supported by the right pieces, like a custom Be Cool aluminum radiator w/electric fans, a March pulley system, and MSD 6AL ignition box. While there are no signs this one ever turned a wheel in anger, it certainly has the right components to win blacktop battles. The stout TH400 three-speed has a manual valve body, and it feeds a 12-bolt Positraction rear end. And four-wheel power disc brakes and modern ZR-rated tires give you superior control. But really this is a cruiser. That's why you have features like power steering, a comfortable setting on the air ride suspension, and an added Gear Vendors overdrive.

It's time for you to be unique, powerful, and absolutely awesome. It's time for this Impala restomod. Call now!
