GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring to market this Shell Valley Shelby Cobra Kit. It is powered by a 460 V8 with an automated transmission packaged into a Shell Valley Motors 427 SC replica kit. The car is equipped with a ladder frame made from 2x4" structural steel tubing. This car combines a lightweight body and no-frills interior, a big displacement V8 and 3 speed automatic transmission. The Shell Valley cars feature Kevlar reinforced bodies and a race inspired triangular rear suspension. The Cobra is also equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes. The car is titled as a 2001 Ford Replica Cobra.

Other highlights include new knock off wheels, Wilwod brakes, VDO gauges, Edelbrock carburetor, polished aluminum intake, aluminum radiator, electric cooling fan, wood steering wheel, MSD distributor.

In 1964, Shelby started working on Shelby Cobra 427, an even more extreme version powered by a monstrous Ford big block 7 litre engine with around 450 bhp and over 600 Nm of torque. It was insane to put this kind of power in such a light car, but Shelby was not the guy who cared about sanity of his vehicles. He rightfully thought that there is no such thig as too much power and he was determined to build an ultimate classic muscle car. Instaling a 427 V8 proved to be more difficult and Cobra body needed to be stretched and widened with necessary improvements to the chassis and suspension. The overall design remained the same, but although 289 and 427 Cobras looked very similar, none of the body panels, except for hood, trunk and windshelid, are interchangeable.
