This 1974 Ford f250 Highboy has the Ranger XLT trim and is a
California truck that was restored a couple of years ago and has a
great look with its original colors. This truck was super clean
before it was restored and the body is extremely straight with all
of its original metal from what we can see. The paint colors are
the original factory colors of Village Green and Ivy Glow and it
was professionally painted when restored. It was painted with the
body off the frame so the inside of the cab was painted at the same
time. New weatherstripping and door seals were added at that time.
The paint is excellent and it is a color combination you do not see
very often. Very cool!! The truck bed was professionally Rhino
Lined as well. The chrome and trim appear to be all original and
they are in wonderful condition. The under is also extremely clean
and this truck does not have any rust issues and never has.
The interior is also really clean and they reupholstered the seat,
installed new headliner, added new dash pad, and bedlined the floor
when it was restored. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and
turn signals are all working. The heater, wipers and horn are
working. It is a nice clean and original style interior.
Mechanically this truck is excellent! It starts easily and runs and
drives great! This truck originally came with a 360 V8, but the
person who had the truck dones says the engine is now a rebuilt 390
V8. It runs strong with no issues or red flags that we found. They
added an Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, Edelbrock Carb, and Aluminum
valve covers. It also has dual exhaust that sounds great! The
transmission is the C6 Automatic that shifts nice and it is mated
to the divorced np203 transfer case and the 4WD works like it
should. We believe it has had a part-time 4WD kit installed because
it does have the lockout hubs and the truck still drives when the
hubs are unlocked. It has a Dana 60 Rear Axle with 4.10 gears and
it is also a Limited Slip rear end. The front axle is a Dana 44
with 4.10 gears. This is all sitting on a set of Aluminum rims with
35 Inch Mud Terrain tires.
