Vehicle Description
Manufactured in Japan and originally from Bogota, Colombia, this
1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 received a full frame-off,
nut-and-bolt restoration before it arrived in the United States.
The restoration itself consisted of a very extensive and documented
tear down of the truck to replace everything, from seals, gaskets
and lenses to upholstery, fuses and lightbulbs. To complement the
truck's overall appearance, it has also had the drivetrain
completely torn down, inspected and rebuilt to factory specs. The
interior was updated with new leather flooring and upholstered
seats. The stereo, gauges, steering wheel and shifter were kept
looking original. This FJ40 is powered by its original 3.9-liter
F155 inline-6 engine paired to a 3-speed manual transmission with
1,098km which translates to 682 miles (title reads mileage exempt)
.
