Vehicle Description
This black-on-black 1964 Lincoln Continental was most recently
purchased in 2019 out of Waco, TX. Soon after purchase the car was
disassembled and a frame-on restoration performed with a color
change. All trim, glass, doors, trunk, hood, engine, transmission,
rear suspension, rear end, front suspension and interior were taken
off. The dash, front bench seat, rear bench seat and door panels
have been upholstered in black vinyl, with a new carpet and new
headliner. The long-block 430ci V8 engine was rebuilt and is bored
.030 over. The automatic transmission had new seals put on around
the same time. Has all-new weatherstripping, new door seals and
back window seal delete. The undercarriage floor and interior were
undercoated. All brakes received attention, including new wheel
cylinders and brake pads. New gas tank and sending unit. Front
suspension components were sandblasted and powder-coated, and new
rubber bushings were installed. A few things were deleted due to
other Lincoln owners' advice, such as the ammeter has been
bypassed, the crankshaft power steering has been deleted and the
vehicle received a side-mount electric power steering pump. The
expansion tank was also eliminated and the carburetor was upgraded
to an electric-choke Edelbrock AVS2 650cfm. All parts deleted
and/or taken off are still with the car.
