Vehicle Description
This 1955 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by its original
matching-numbers 265ci V8 engine backed by a 2-speed Powerglide
automatic transmission. It's been beautifully restored and finished
in Polo White with a red interior and a beige top, and is equipped
with every option available in 1955, including turn signals,
heater, radio, windshield washer with auxiliary bubble hardtop. A
four-owner car with ownership history since new, this Corvette was
purchased by its first owner on October 31, 1955, and remained in
single ownership from 1955 until 2010. A real California car, it
spent most of its life in San Francisco and comes with its original
Bill of Sale and a full documented history since new, with a 3-inch
binder of every receipt, original letters from Chevrolet and
vintage photos. This very well-kept and preserved car shows well,
is #372 of 700 produced and represents the first year for the V8 in
a Corvette.
