Vehicle Description
This 1958 Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia is a "Lowlight" coupe restored by
Classic Auto Rewind of Chino, CA. The work completed includes
refinishing the exterior in Bamboo with a dark green roof,
retrimming the seats with beige vinyl and green corduroy
upholstery, and rebuilding the 1.2-liter flat-4 engine paired with
a 4-speed manual transmission. Equipped with a "pea shooter"
exhaust system and a single Solex carburetor. The front compartment
houses a matching spare wheel and tire, as well as jacking
equipment. The fuel tank is finished in the body color and is
mounted ahead of a lined storage area. The cabin features seats
upholstered in beige vinyl with white piping and green corduroy
inserts, as well as color-coordinated door panel treatments and
carpeting. Equipment includes manually operated windows, a Bendix
Sapphire 1 radio and pleated door pockets. The body-colored steel
dashboard is equipped with a passenger grab handle and houses VDO
instrumentation consisting of a 90-mph speedometer, a fuel-level
gauge and an analog clock. Chrome-finished VW-logo covers are
fitted along with vintage-style Royalton whitewall tires.
