Vehicle Description
Finished in dark green and Cygnus White, this FJ28 underwent a
three-year full frame-off, rotisserie nut-and-bolt restoration by
House of Cruisers after being found in a remote town in Venezuela.
Powered by a fully rebuilt period-correct 3.8-liter F-type 105hp
overhead-valve 6-cylinder engine mated to its original 4-speed
manual transmission. Equipped with rebuilt original drum brakes and
new factory replica aluminized exhaust system by Vetusil, as well
as fully serviced and resealed OEM axles. The interior features
square upholstery from Relicate with matching boots for the gear
shift, transfer case selector and handbrake, custom mats to protect
the floors, and all doors are equipped with their original chromed
handles and knobs. The original cluster with dash switches has been
restored, as has the original steering wheel. Additional features
include a new OEM auxiliary lamp, Toyota original emblems on the
front panels and hood, Gifu body original emblem on the rear door,
rare emblem with Japanese texts on the right side of the dash, and
clean and original chrome strips on the horizontal grille. Rides on
body-color steel wheels fitted with fresh tires and period-correct
hubcaps. The 1960 FJ28l is a last-year production model of the
longest-wheelbase version of the 20 series. FJ28s from 1960 were
produced by Gifu Auto Body Industries. Includes OEM Toyota tool
bag, antique original yellow jack and brochure.
