Vehicle Description
This 1957 Cadillac Series 62 was built to honor the King himself,
Elvis Presley, and his love of pink Cadillacs. Commissioned by
Reese's Candy as a promotional vehicle for their limited-edition
peanut butter and banana flavor (one of Elvis' favorite
sandwiches), this car was built by Boyd Coddington and his crew and
featured on the TLC series "American Hot Rod." Coddington's
creations have become famous for a reason: they are striking - and
this car is no exception. The original lines were not significantly
altered, but the bumpers were flush-mounted and the moldings were
shaved before the car was given its Pink Pearl paint. The interior
features custom white leather upholstery by Gabe Lopez as well as
conveniences like a custom dash, custom gauges, Vintage Air climate
control and a DVD entertainment system, as well as a custom candy
cooler installed in the trunk. Naturally, power disc brakes and
steering have been fitted, along with power windows that can be
remotely operated and remote door access. Motivation comes from a
high horsepower 540ci big-block engine which is put to the street
by way of a TH400 automatic transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end.
