- each unique to the 455 SD. It also comes with its correct Turbo
400 transmission, original 3.08:1 Safety Trac rear end and air
conditioning. The car is finished in Buccaneer Red with a white
interior. This 1974 455 SD Trans Am sold new at Ruckle Pontiac in
Yonkers, NY. It has undergone a complete frame-off rotisserie
restoration and comes with its original sales invoice, Window
Sticker, auto owner's maintenance folio and the original 1974
operating Instructions and general information collateral, in
addition to an original Pontiac Consumer information safety manual
with factory punch marks for Trans Am. Also included in the sale
are old photos from when the car was new and PHS paperwork. In
addition, there is a binder with photos taken during the
restoration of all the correct and original drivetrain component
numbers, including engine block VIN stamping, Y8 stamp, block
casting number, date codes, head codes, distributor number,
carburetor number, intake manifold casting number and date code,
transmission tag, rear axle housing stamping and gear numbers,
along with the hidden VIN on the firewall.
