Vehicle Description
From its debut in 1967, the Camaro was value-priced for the basic
hardtop coupe and available with virtually every Chevrolet option.
A number of careful refinements were given to the to the basic 1968
Camaro design, which aimed at improving comfort, safety and
handling. The rear suspension was slightly modified with
"staggered" shock absorbers to reduce rear-axle windup under hard
acceleration. Vent windows disappeared with the introduction of the
new "Astro Ventilation" fresh air inlet system, producing a cleaner
profile. Side marker lights appeared for the first time and the
grille was slightly revised. This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS benefits
from an older complete restoration that features a black exterior
complemented by a black and white houndstooth interior. Power is
delivered by a 327ci V8 engine with 210 factory-rated horsepower,
backed by a column-shifted automatic transmission. A
Protect-O-Plate accompanies this clean Camaro. From the Mile-High
Collection.
