This 1955 Studebaker President Speedster is said to be one of only
2,215 produced by Studebaker during the 1955 model year. It
features a unique tri-tone gray, pink and white paint with
Harlequin-stitched white leather seats. The turned-metal dash
housing features full instrumentation, including a tachometer,
160-mph speedometer, and an AM push-button radio and clock. The
vehicle comes equipped with power front windows, power front seat,
tinted glass, factory fog lamps in the bumperettes dual outside
mirrors, directional turn signals, backup lights, triple horns and
dual exhaust with factory-style tailpipe extensions. Additionally,
it features Vintage Air climate control, as well as seat belts.
This Speedster rides on period-correct wide whitewall tires and
factory wire wheel covers. Engine is an upgraded rebuilt Studebaker
289ci V8 engine backed by a rebuilt Flight-O-Matic 3-speed
automatic transmission. It has power steering and power brakes.
