Vehicle Description
1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III with only 17,760 miles on the
clock (mileage not indicated on the title). This is a true time
capsule not often found. This Lincoln was purchased new from the
showroom floor at Grizzly Lincoln-Mercury in Missoula, MT, on March
24, 1971, and never left town. This Lincoln was only driven for
family and special events, making it a true collector car in
today's market. The Lincoln Mark III was Lee Iacocca's vision for a
legendary luxury car and 1971 was the golden anniversary for the
Lincoln Mark III. This Lincoln has all the luxury options,
including tinted glass, power steering, power seats, power windows,
Sure Trac power brakes, tilt steering wheel, auto speed control,
temperature-control air conditioning, hideaway headlights with auto
dimmer, concealed wipers, AM/FM radio with cassette deck, power
antenna, Cartier clock, real walnut wood dash and door panel trim.
The power for this amazing Lincoln is produced by the legendary
460ci V8 engine with a 4-barrel carburetor producing 365hp and 500
ft/lbs of torque. The engine is mated to a SelectShift automatic
transmission. There's no doubt that with these luxury options and
power to back it up, the 1971 Lincoln Mark III was the winner of
Motor Trend magazine's King of the Hill contest, beating out all
other major automobile manufacturers. This Lincoln looks like it
just rolled off the showroom floor with a flawless interior showing
almost no wear. The vinyl top looks brand-new, and it retains three
of the four original Michelin X tires. The engine bay has been
cautiously detailed to retain the factory markings and looks
amazing. This Lincoln comes with high-quality copies of all
original documentation from new, including the Protect-O-Plate,
temporary and original owner card, owner manual, radio operating
manual, consumer information sheet, original sales receipt and
original Montana registration certificate.
