Vehicle Description
This 1990 Mercedes-Benz Flagship model features a combination of
code 040 Jet Black with Palomino leather interior. The
Mercedes-Benz 560SEC coupes were based on the solid W126 S-Class or
Sonderklasse which means special-class sedan, meaning that the
highest levels of engineered comfort and opulence found its way
into the personal luxury coupe from West Germany. The project was
spearheaded by Bruno Sacco, the Italian-born designer who was
responsible for the visual appearance of the brand from 1975 to
1999. He was first the chief stylist and later chief designer at
Mercedes-Benz and was famous for replacing chrome-plated opulence
with straightforward lightweight design and aerodynamic efficiency.
Nearly everything was standard on these models including power
windows, locks, antenna, sunroof, air conditioning, premium sound,
leather interior and rear headrests just to name a few. Open the
doors and seat belts are automatically presented. The 560SEC
features Mercedes' fabled and legendarily long-lived M117 V8
engine. With single overhead camshafts, all-aluminum construction,
and Bosch Jetronic fuel injection, the naturally aspirated
5.5-liter engine was factory rated at 238hp and 287 ft/lb of
torque. The 4G-Tronic four-speed automatic transmission shifts
confidently through the gears and both engine and transmission are
original to this car. Always garage kept. Includes recent service
updates including air conditioning, battery, belts, brakes, plugs,
wires, hoses, filters, fluids, valve-cover gaskets, idle control
unit, OEM exhaust resonators, steering box, bushings, ball joints
and H&R lowering springs. Rides on 18-inch AMG Monoblock wheels
and Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The owner's manual, original
brochure and reproduction widow sticker are also included.
Originally sold in California where it remained until now.
