1984 Mercedes-Benz 380SL roadster in original DB 904 Dark Blue. It
came out of its deceased long-term owner's garage where it had been
parked for several years. The children of that owner started to do
repairs at the Mercedes dealer and the expenses quickly got out of
hand; it needed full mechanical reconditioning. All the fluids,
brakes, brake lines, exhaust system and bushings were done. The
brake work included a new master, rotors, lines, etc. The fuel
injection unit was also serviced. The radiator was flushed as well.
A correct new battery was installed, New K-member bushings, all
fluids were changed and a new stainless exhaust from the catalytic
converter on the back was added. All the electrical items were
checked and serviced as needed, including the windows, turn
signals, horn and all lights. Finally, the air conditioning system
was serviced and recharged with R12. It has both keys as well as
its original owner's manual, data plate and all supplements. The
dual timing chain is silent on startup, so it was not changed. The
car has 110,000 miles (the title reads mileage exempt). The
interior is leather with some slight wear visible on both seats but
no tears or holes. The wheels and brand-new tires have no wheel
rash, while the spare wheel and tire are original and show signs of
use. The car has both tops and a top stand; the original blue vinyl
top is in good condition, but the plastic is discolored and
cracking.
