Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Tribute has the right upgraded
aggressive look. And it's more than just skin deep, too, with a
recent 6.0-liter LS V8 transplant under the hood. Plus, as you look
at all the nice extras - including the overdrive transmission - it
starts to reveal a coupe with everything you want already in
place.
This is the first year for the second-generation Camaro, and it was
hard not to fall in love/lust with the mix of sleek profile and
crisp lines. This one seems to really understand that the best. A
more recent respray of the factory-correct Mulsanne Blue is a
driver-quality application that still gives you the upgraded
clearcoat luster to highlight all the new curves that came in the
redesign. It has all the right details you want on a proper muscle
machine, like the large cowl hood, deep chin spoiler, full-width
rear spoiler, and dual racing stripes painted on top. Plus, the
newer US Mag alloys have a 17/20 inch front/rear stagger to give
this an aggressive stance. And of course, the '70 Camaro was the
first opportunity to get the split-bumper RS package up front that
makes this one look like it's out to inhale lesser cars.
The black interior is exactly what you want on a muscle car. There
are clean carpets, a good headliner, and the seats even have newer
covers. It makes for a good atmosphere that focuses on driving. The
high-back front bucket seats, a center console with horseshoe
shifter, NK4 sports steering wheel, and a column-mounted tach are
all part of a package that puts you at the center of the
action.
Under the hood is the classic style of a large orange Chevy V8
block. But those coil packs instantly tell you it's a much newer
package. This is a 6.0-liter LS-based V8 that was installed just
within the last few years. And while this is a modern powerhouse,
you also have a Demon four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and
shorty headers for old-school fun you want in a classic Camaro.
It's the kind of feature that makes it a lot of fun to see what
kind of power you can really release with some extra tuning on a
Saturday morning. And from day one, the dual exhaust with
Flowmaster mufflers gives you the kind of V8 tune that gets this
noticed on a Saturday night. And a coupe like this really was made
to cruise. That's why you have features like power steering, power
brakes w/discs up front, and an upgrade to a 700R4 four-speed
automatic transmission w/overdrive.
Complete with owner's manual, this is an iconic year for the
Camaro, and this one celebrates it correctly with the ideal mix of
vintage and well-placed upgrades. Call now!
