Vehicle Description
This 1980 GMC C3500 Sierra Camper Special gets things right where
it matters: a powerful big block V8 engine, the rare 3+3 cab
configuration, and the usability of a heavy-duty dually. So when
it's wrapped in an awesomely vintage package, this is a great way
to look cool while getting your work done.
The two-tone Dark Camel and Sand is the factory-correct combo, and
it's separated by bright trim to give it a retro-cool kind of look.
There's a weathered appearance that shows it's a worker. Quite
frankly, it looks quite nice against original-style pieces like the
stock grille and badging. Camper Special trucks already have an
almost mythical status as cool pickups that can carry it all, and
this one truly lives up to that reputation. As a dual rear wheel
"dually", it comes with factory features to make it a terrific
hauler like the additional running lights on top and provisions for
dual fuel tanks (the left one may need servicing.) And this one has
been upgraded for extra ability with features like full-length
diamond plate running boards, professional-grade towing mirrors,
and the wide rear step bumper has a proper trailer hitch with
wiring hookup and trailer brake. The bed even still has an
electrical hookup in case you were looking to use a slide-in camper
for a retro kind of outdoors fun.
Inside is more of the great vintage cool feeling. You see it
everywhere from the button-top cloth seatbacks to the detailed trim
on the door panels. You will find room for improvement in the
details, but we also bet your mind is racing about all the cool
upgrades you can do with the rare four-door cab with two rows
three-across seating (the famous 3+3 setup.) It also comes with
nice features from day one, like an AM/FM/cassette stereo, upgraded
speakers, and provisions for air conditioning (it will need
servicing to blow cold again.) You even have the sliding rear glass
to give you those great classic truck breezes through the cab.
Under the hood is a true power king. The 454 cubic-inch V8 is ready
with its huge displacement and even an upgraded four-barrel
carburetor. The stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission can
handle the big torque when you're towing the toys, and the factory
cruise control helps make the long-haul easy. You've also got power
steering, power brakes, front discs, the upgraded Camper Special
suspension, and HD 8-lug wheels that make for an easy but robust
package.
This is the cool classic pickup that can do more work than some new
pickups - all for far less money. That's absolutely irresistible,
and so you know this deal will be gone soon. Call today!!!
