We just acquired this really nice 1970 El Camino SS tribute from a
local car guy and collector who told us it was time to start
downsizing. He said that as much as he liked this Elky is was time
to pass it on to someone else who would enjoy it as much as he did.
Nice guy !
Anyway, we were told that it been restored a few years ago which
included new paint and interior as well as most of its mechanical
systems had been replaced too and after our in-shop inspection it
all appears to be true. Check it out!!
The body is mostly original and very straight, solid and clean
including the floors, bed and frame. It was painted using
(base/clear) "VIPER RED" and it looks spectacular, slick and smooth
with a deep luster and show car shine. It also has all new chrome,
trim, weather stripping too. The black bucket seat interior was
very tastefully done using custom high back bucket seats, a factory
original console with correct staple shifter and a custom gauge
cluster. The carpets, door panels and headliner all look like new
too. Power comes from a strong running, healthy sounding 350 c.i.
small block engine that has angle plus heads, a high lift cam,
roller rockers, aluminum intake and 4bbl. carb. It is backed up by
a crisp shifting TH-400 automatic transmission and 12 bolt
posi-traction rear with 3:55 gears. Other features include power
steering, power disc brakes (front only) tubular upper and lower
control arms, tilt steering, headers with flow master dual exhaust,
15" rally wheels and lots more. This El Camino truly runs and
drives just as nice as it looks. No disappointments.
NOTES** This car is in our detail shop being prepped for sale. More
detailed pics and video will be posted as soon as the car is
completed. Please be patient.
Thank you.
