Vehicle Description
This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air has a vibrant shade of red on the
hardtop body, and even more red in the full custom A/C interior.
But your favorite red piece may just be under the hood on the
cross-ram intake for the dual-quad V8 setup. And everything from
the award-worthy undercarriage to the overdrive transmission means
this is the custom build for those who love to show, drive, and
all-around enjoy a superior classic.
The red paint is borrowed from the Porsche palette, and that's
fitting because this car is a true exotic. It's a quality
application that loves to radiate in sunshine. And this same luster
loves to show off the more aggressive and sleeker upgrades, like
the tall cowl hood and license plate frenched into the trunk. And
as you get closer, you'll even notice a full pinstripe package done
in a subtle pink. The restoration was completed less than 1,800
miles ago, and so this one has only ever seen moderate use. So it's
one you can drive and show with pride. You get all the best
brightwork pieces of a '55 Chevy with a chrome grille, mirror-like
wraparound bumpers, and elegant side trim that also showcase the
excellent fit of the doors. And the level of polish is taken up a
notch when showing off upgrades like the flush door handles and
20-inch Coys wheels.
You'll be glad you can take down all the windows on this
pillar-less hardtop just so people can get a better look at the
full red coordinated interior. While this is an award-worthy
package, you'll also appreciate that the full custom treatment is
built for extra comfort. The bucket seats are plusher than anything
that came out of the 1950s, and the console running through the
center gives everyone an individual level of space. The deep red
style is done with added thoughtfulness. For example, you have
detailed ostrich pattern inserts on the seats, door panels, and
even the trunk. There's plush carpeting, red LED lighting, and just
the right touches of wood-like trim. It's also upgraded with the
best features like cold-blowing R134a air conditioning, power
windows, and an AM/FM/CD stereo and subwoofer speaker hidden in the
trunk. There's a Momo steering wheel on a column, and the billet
ratchet shifter gets you ready for a performance machine. And red
glowing digital gauges in the custom dash is just another one of
those great thoughtful touches that make this build awesome.
The engine bay has super-smooth inner walls that make sure the
motor takes center stage. There's a ton of polish and a clean style
that lets you see right down to the painted chassis. But you'll
really get people talking when they spot the offset dual Holley
four-barrel carburetors on a cross-ram intake. It's a race-ready
kind of setup that no one else is likely going to have on their
Chevy. This is sitting on top of a 383 stroker performance motor.
You'll spot more great pieces like the aluminum radiator, HEI
distributor, and long tube headers. This has a terrific exhaust
note from the dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. And when you
want to bring the thunder, there are electric cutouts. And as you
check out the exhaust setup, you'll also see a full undercarriage
that will have you putting a mirror under this one at the car shows
(yes, that is pinstriping on the spare tire hump!) This total build
is also made to be a solid driver with a four-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive, power steering, grippy ZR-rated tires,
and Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes.
This is the all-around awesome build that you've always wanted. So
