Zoom Classic Cars proudly offers this 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo
Hawk. The GT Hawk's styling was a radical departure from the norms
of 1962. Inspired by both Euro and American artistry, there are
hints of Mercedes, Thunderbird and Lincoln throughout its design.
The GT was ahead of its time and influenced many models of the 70's
and 80's The interior features a modern instrument panel with
easy-to-read gauges. This GT's Bucket seats are wrapped in cloth, a
better treatment than the alternative vinyl of the time, which had
a tendency to crack and decay. The rear seats are perfect and the
headliner is intact and in showroom condition. The GT also includes
an aftermarket A/C unit. This fine example is powered by
Studebaker's reliable 289-cubic-inch (4.7 L) V8 engine teamed with
standard three-Flight-O-Matic automatic transmission. The stock
engine was low compression (8.5:1) which lowered its power output
while providing longer engine life. The exterior is in immaculate
condition with no rust evident. The interior is in near showroom
condition. Only minor aging is apparent throughout the entire
vehicle. It is hard to believe this classic is 60 years old. We
offer this Gran Turismo at a very reasonable 16,500. Studebaker
lovers, save your money on restoration, this one is ready to show.
