Vehicle Description
A distinct color combo, desirable V8 power, an overdrive
transmission, a loaded A/C interior, and overall drop-top appeal
make this 1997 Ford Mustang GT Convertible quite an attractive
young classic.
The factory-correct Autumn Orange is also the factory original
application. It has the right look of a car that has been driven
responsibly for the last quarter-century (this one averaging less
than 2,300 miles annually.) There's a value price on this one for
those who are looking to upgrade it back to perfection, but it's
nice to have the option of originality because the factory color is
quite important here. The fourth generation car was developed to
get the Mustang closer back to its roots, and we can't help but see
a resemblance to the famous Emberglo that was only available in the
early years of the Mustang. And now this drop-top has crossed the
25-year threshold, it's now eligible for vintage car
plates/benefits in many states. So as you look over the clean and
well-respected body of this highly stock and original GT
convertible, you can really start to see how it makes for a great
way to own and drive a very original young classic.
While the black convertible top goes well with the orange, we
especially like the look of this one with the roof stowed. The
interior tan and the exterior's orange just seem to have the kind
of harmonious blend that you would get on a sophisticated luxury
car. It also works well for a loaded pony car. It has all the best
features like a power convertible top, power windows, power locks,
keyless entry/alarm, dual airbags, electric rear defogger, cruise
control, and the factory premium AM/FM/cassette stereo with CD
player. Plus, cold-blowing R134a air conditioning is ideal for
top-down driving on a sunny day. The interior reflects that age and
mileage, but the good care means it's also clean and comfortable.
You'll slip into the leather bucket seat, grip the sports steering
wheel, and the tilt steering column means you get a good view of
this GT's full gauge package.
One of the reasons why the Mustang is a legend is the proper V8
power. So it's nice to have a later 4th gen model that benefits
from the upgrade to the 4.6-liter SOHC modular V8. It ushered in a
new era of performance while still delivering the same hardy
reputation. Proper care means this fuel-injected motor fires up
nicely, and it makes a great sound out of the dual exhaust. And
because this one still loves to be a driver, it has the right
features to be great for journeys near or far. This includes the
GT's upgraded suspension, power steering, four-wheel power disc
brakes w/ABS, and a four-speed automatic transmission
w/overdrive.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and service
manuals. This is a terrifically stock presentation of a significant
pony car drop-top. So don't let it slip away, call today!
