Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 tribute has an awesome color
combo inside and out and plenty of thoughtful details. Of course,
what you'll love the most is that there's plenty of big block power
lurking under the hood.
The '69 Chevelle is already a great classic. The styling of the
coupe has a cool fastback-like hardtop profile and a hint of flying
buttress, and there's no better way of showing it off than with a
taut-fitting black vinyl roof. The roof also goes great with other
black features like the full-length SS396 side stripe, blackout
grille, and rear panel that all show well against the silver. And
speaking of the paint, Cortez Silver is that factory-correct color
for this Chevelle. It strikes the right balance of a smooth touch
and a radiant style, but it never gets too fancy to make you
nervous to drive it. After all, this coupe is built for style and
substance. The LED headlight has a cool halo glow and lights the
way forward better. And the polished American Racing Torq Thrust
wheels allow you to fit better driving tires, and the 18/20-inch
front/rear stagger also gives this one an even more intimidating
stance.
The red interior is a terrific standout color against the exterior.
This was an upgrade later in life, and the comprehensive work means
good color and a fresh quality. The clean seats, taut door panels,
smooth dash, and good carpeting all have a look of distinction. So
you'll happily leave the windows rolled down on this pillar-less
hardtop. The setup has the right level of vintage style, right down
to the two wide rows of bench seats. And you'll also appreciate the
driver-ready feeling with the auxiliary gauge trio under the dash
and the factory dual-spoke steering wheel that gives you a
commanding view of the full gauge package, including tach.
The dark inner walls of the engine bay show off the bright orange
block, matching ribbed valve covers, and some nice polish on
components like the alternator and brake booster. So it's easy to
show off this big block with pride. This is an era-correct 396
cubic-inch V8, and it was built for performance. The V8 now inhales
deeper with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock with
Performer RPM intake. And the dual exhaust gives you a nice big
block tune. Because this is made for all-around solid driving, you
have features that make it easy to enjoy, like a TH400 three-speed
automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs,
and ZR-rated sport tires afforded by wheel upgrade.
Power and poise deliver a solid-driving SS396 tribute. So if you
