A turn-key car and you won’t see another one like it at a car show… Nicknamed “Nasty Nash” by its owner/builder, Billy Hayes, is based on a 1948 Nash Ambassador Custom Brougham (model # 4873) of which 929 examples were built. This vehicle was constructed by Billy in 1995-97. Car has placed First Place and People's Choice in car shows in VA, PA, NC, and OH.

BODY/EXTERIOR: The top has been chopped 3-1/2” and the body channeled 5”. Other modifications include removal of chrome side trim, frenched headlights, sunken antennas, smoothed firewall, shaved door handles and filled panel seams. There is a scratch on top left fender. Electric door poppers have been installed.
FRAME/SUBSTRUCTURE: 1950 Mercury frame mated with a 1970 Chevy Nova subframe has been lowered 4”, steel frame structure is sound.
INTERIOR: Later model split bench seat with two-tone gray cloth upholstery. The left side seat is power adjustable and the right is manual. Seat belts are installed. The vehicle is equipped with a later model steering column and wheel, painted to match exterior and dashboard. Stock type speedometer with aftermarket auxiliary gauges. Door panels and headliner in very good condition. An AM/FM cassette radio is installed in the dash along with a CB radio. Has an aftermarket A/C (R134A refrigerant) and heater system. The fuel filler has been relocated to the trunk. The trunk is finished with two-tone grey fabric.
ENGINE: A new Holley 4-bbl carburetor was recently installed. The engine has aluminum valve covers and intake manifolds. Exhaust headers are installed and an aluminum radiator with braided hose covers.
TRANSMISSION/DIFFERENTIAL: Fully operational GM THM 350 automatic three speed transmission. Column mounted gearshift operates transmission in forward and. reverse gears. Driveshaft operates a straight axle rear end from a 1970 Chevrolet with 10 bolt differential.
SUSPENSION & BRAKES: Suspension upgraded with front tubular shocks and coil springs and longitudinal rear leaf springs with tubular shocks. Ride height was level with proper suspension geometry. Has a firm brake pedal.
STEERING COMPONENTS: GM power steering.
EXHAUST: Upgraded dual exhaust system with fiberglass filled mufflers.
WHEELS/TIRES Overall Very Good Condition. 14” painted wheels with full stainless-steel wheel covers in good condition. Tires are Remington G78-14 bias ply wide whitewalls.
MAJOR ACCESSORIES/OPTIONS: A/C, power front driver’s seat, front disc brakes, power steering.
