color. Has original fender tag. Judged 944/1,000 points at Muscle
Car and Corvette Nationals. California rust free car. We sold this
car to a long time customer/car collector 13 years ago.
EXTERIOR: Clean, California original metal. Original quarter
panels, bottom of the doors are dry. The body gaps are square. The
doors shut like a new car, even with the windows up. Repainted only
once in it's very desirable original Top Banana yellow. Very sharp
factory Bumble bee stripe and no vinyl top. The paint job on this
car is about 20 years old and no rust or bubbles have surfaced. It
is smooth and glossy. In front the grill is repainted, the bumper
is original and is tarnished. The hood has functional scoops,
optional hood pins and new emblem. The door handles and rear bumper
are original showing patina. Original glass. 14 inch rallye wheels
are in very nice shape.
INTERIOR: Overall good interior. The upholstery is real nice on the
seats. Carpet looks real good, it has complete set of original
seatbelts. The door panels are not new but look good. Headliner was
replaced, has minor wrinkles. It has visors, mirror and working
dome light. New dash cap fits real nice. The bezels and lenses are
not new but not beat up. It has factory gauge cluster and a clock.
It has a radio delete plate. A correct radio and new speaker are
included.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original #s matching 340-275 hp motor. It runs
strong. Upgraded Edelbrock intake is painted orange to look
factory. The motor was recently resealed with new gaskets. Nicely
restored air cleaner, stock exhaust manifolds and a new alternator.
It features power brakes. There is a new battery bolted down
properly and has a disconnect switch. The radiator, shroud and fan
are proper. An overflow bottle was added. The heater core is
bypassed, new Mopar heater hoses are in the trunk. Complete with
both horns, squirters are hooked up. The engine bay is solid,
straight original metal painted yellow. The fender tag is still
attached.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rock solid original metal. I did not see any
patches or splices. It has a spare under the mat, the jack is
properly mounted. The trunk mat and decal have been replaced. There
are some miscellaneous extra parts included.
UNDERSIDE: Clean virgin floors. There is no rot, patches or
repairs. The original metal is as dry as a chalkboard. The frame
rails, inner rockers and even behind the rear tires are mint. It
has disc brakes in front. The brake hoses, swaybar end links, tie
rod end look recently replaced. The fuel tank and straps were
replaced. Bottom of the motor is clean, the rear main seal was
replaced. Custom dual exhaust with dumps, fat pipes, FloPro
mufflers and factory chrome tips. Vin # matching 727 Torqueflite
auto trans With a remote oil cooler. 3.91 Sure Grip gears in the
rear end.
The 340 Swinger was a part of the Scat Pack group. This was
Chrysler's line of high performance cars. This one has also been
signed by Mopar legend- Mr Norm of Grand Spaulding Dodge. He also
gave this car a silver award.
