A truck this interesting is rarely this affordable. After all, this
1962 Ford F-100 is from those few short/cool years that there was
the unibody option. So it's great to see this V8-powered pickup
showcased with an attention-grabbing two-tone and some
well-integrated upgrades.
Ford's brief flirtation with a seamless unibody option on the
F-series has kept a truck like this an in-demand classic. It was
this seamless unibody that was exactly right for featuring the
full-length style lines that were stamped directly in the sheet
metal. And this one was built from day one to showcase the unbroken
lines ideally with a distinct Caribbean Turquoise and Corinthian
White. This factory-correct two-tone was updated to make sure it
continues to have a great glossy style, and so it really showcases
the artful creases in the body that makes the panels so attractive.
Ford also added some dramatic flares around the wheel arches making
this one of the best-looking trucks of the early 1960s. Bright
chrome bumpers, an intricate grille, white steel wheels, classic
Ford badging make for a nice vintage cruiser style. Plus, this
still keeps a useful truck attitude with color-matched liner paint
in the useful long bed, and there's a diamond plate toolbox for
storing gear.
This was restored so that the exterior turquoise and white returns
inside in a nicely intertwined style. There are terrific details,
like the tuck and roll seat inserts and the headliner was done to
match. There are useful detail upgrades like seatbelts and thick
rubber mats. You even have a modern AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth
and a subwoofer speaker system for the best in driving music. But
the seat hides it all to make sure nothing gets in the way of a
true vintage atmosphere. So when you slip behind the artful
steering wheel, all you see is a clean and simple classic two-tone
dash with easy controls.
Under the hood is Ford's premium 292 cubic-inch Y-block motor. It's
nicely detailed with the firewall, air grabber, oil filler cap, and
FORD script valve covers all done in turquoise to coordinate with
the exterior. So it looks even more distinct than chrome would
within the dark and smooth inner fender walls. More importantly, it
fires up and runs with the kind of feeling that you know it was
well respected. In fact, this truck is coming off of nearly two
decades of ownership, and it received solid restoration investments
during that time. A classic truck like this wants you to feel the
road, but it also wants to make it easy to cruise the byways.
That's why you have features like an automatic transmission and
modern tires.
The sale comes complete with terrific paperwork like the owner's
manual, service manuals, build receipts, and maintenance records.
There's even a 1962-style Florida license plate. This is the rare
unibody that has a sleek two-tone. It's a distinctive classic
pickup offered for a value price. Call today!!!
