Vehicle Description
This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod has a meaner stance that
tells you there's serious performance within. Still, most people
will likely not be expecting something as large or a wicked as the
502ci big block upgrade. And with everything from the five-speed
stick, to the custom A/C interior, this makes for a unique total
package that's built to enjoy to the fullest.
This one was built to look mean. You've got great classic Sting Ray
performance pieces, like the raised big block hood and stand-out
side pipes. These are joined by unmistakable upgrades, like the 502
callouts and the Weld wheels with an aggressive 16/18 inch
front/rear stagger. But more than just a powerful Corvette, this
one gets the fundamentals right for what you want in a classic C2
coupe. The two-piece bumpers look nice, the hideaway headlights fit
flush, the doors close with confidence, and the red paint has a
good look going down the road. So you can tell there was more
thought that went into this one than just installing a big
motor.
The interior is a very cool sight. 1966 is one of later years for
the C2, but the interior is borrowed from a final-year C3. It helps
tell the unique story of this car. It has the frame and body of a
1966, but the tub is from a 1982. That's how you can fit the
power-adjustable leather high-back bucket seats into this classic.
Other great C3 pieces include the well-done dash with full
auxiliary gauge layout taking center stage. There are some more
well-integrated upgrades, like the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner
with cassette, and the air conditioning is blowing cold with modern
R134a. The sports steering wheel is on a tilt/telescopic column for
good comfort, and your right hand is going to love the shifter
position.
We be you already have snuck a few pics at the monster under the
hood. The 502 cubic-inch crate V8 looks great with it bight air
grabber, red valve covers, and the kind of size that tells you they
likely couldn't get any more V8 power in there. And this big block
has the right go-fast goodies, like a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, GM aluminum intake, aluminum heads, and headers that
feed into those side pipes. You take complete control of this
enhanced power and its thunderous soundtrack with the Tremec
five-speed manual transmission. The front end has been beefed up,
and we all love the C2 for introducing the independent rear
suspension to Corvettes. Plus, power steering, power brakes,
four-wheel discs, and modern ZR rated tires make for an outstanding
total driving package.
This is the true classic Corvette shape with extra power, poise,
and comfort. It makes for a cool custom that you just know needs to
be in your garage. Since the tub is from a 1982 Corvette, the car
is titled as an '82. Call today!!!
