This 1964 Chevrolet Biscayne has the right touch of old-school
street machine style. It's a full blackout package with a
period-correct small block and four-on-the-floor. Plus, there are
just the right amount of upgrades on the V8 and interior to let you
enjoy it more in modern times.
The look of this one lies somewhere between sleeper and street
machine. After all, the Biscayne coupe was a great way to go
incognito in 1964, and this one gets that style right with a clean
and complete look that never gets too fancy - right down to the
steel wheel with dog dish hubcaps. But the full blackout style
really gives it a street machine vibe. The trim-free Biscayne lets
the black paint take over, and the tinted windows really add some
attitude. And you just get the overall feeling like this one
doesn't back down from a blacktop battle. But there's also an
overall appeal that goes beyond just a performance style. It's in
the quality classic details like the crisp/clean sheet metal
creases, and how the two-door post body has wraparound rear
glass.
The midnight style continues inside. The deep and dark presentation
looks good on the dash, door panels, and carpet. And this full-size
Chevy has a more comfortable cruiser style with cloth inserts in
the seats, a retro-style AM/FM digital radio, and upgraded
speakers. Of course, this one really is all about being a driver's
classic. That's why you have the bright floor shifter, water temp
readout under the dash, and a handy AutoMeter tach mounted
prominently on the steering column.
Under the hood is a very cool setup where you get a period-correct
283 cubic-inch V8 block. This would be the exact kind of motor that
would come in a Biscayne back in the day. But now it inhales deeper
with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock Performer
EPS intake. It fires up nicely and makes a sweet tune out of the
dual exhaust. You have full control over this V8 package thanks to
the four-speed manual transmission. As you look underneath, you'll
spot worthwhile investment in pieces like newer bushings and a rear
sway bar.
This is the cool midnight classic that loves to deliver the right
vintage street machine attitude in an overall cruiser package. Call
