The GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1990 Volkswagen
Beetle for your consideration. This one of a kind Beetle was the
result of a no expense spared complete restoration that includes
many tasteful custom upgrades that makes this vehicle truly one of
a kind. During the restoration this Volkswagen received new floors,
carpet, and a complete new interior. Mechanically this vehicle has
been completely upgraded and now has adjustable suspension, new
front and rear disc brakes, alternator, starter. The 1850cc
4-cylinder engine has recently had an oil change and produces a
throaty exhaust note. A 4-speed transmission controlled by the
hurst shifter is also equipped. The exterior of this vehicle is
finished in the beautiful color combination of a Gray Metallic
exterior over a striking red leather interior that matches the
contrasting red cloth rag top. The interior features all new iSP
carbon series gauges as well as a brand new pioneer head unit and
speaker system. Currently displaying only 1542 miles on the
odometer this Beetle is just getting started following the
extensive restoration.
With the design team being led by the legendary Ferdinand Porsche
the Beetle was completed in 1938 and was the longest-running and
most manufactured car of a single platform ever made with over 21
million Beetles being produced. It was introduced as one of the
first rear-engined cars since the Brass Era as a car for the people
to highlight the country's new road network, the Reichsautobahn.
The original concept behind the first Volkswagen, the company, and
its name is the notion of a people's car - a car affordable and
practical enough for common people to own. Hence the name, which is
literally "people's car" in German.
Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing
and/or $199 documentation fees.
