Vehicle Description
One-of-a-kind 1966 Chevrolet Nova SS custom designed and owned by
NASCAR Hall-of-Famer Rusty Wallace and built by Ambition Road in
Troutman, NC. On the outside, the car is cloaked in a luscious
Champagne color, custom-formulated by Chip Foose. Meanwhile, the
interior is finished in a supple Amber leather, completed by North
Carolina's Hot Rod Interiors by Chuck. While beautiful to look at,
this Nova SS also has the performance you'd expect from a NASCAR
Hall of Famer. At its heart is a fuel-injected, 6.2-liter Chevy LS3
V8 engine producing a ground-pounding 538hp. All that power is
transferred to the pavement through a TREMEC 6-speed manual
transmission, mated to a Ford 9-inch rear end with a Currie
Wavetrac differential and a 35-spline axle. In the racing world,
handling can be just as important as horsepower. Wallace designed
this Nova with that in mind. It features a front suspension by
Detroit Speed and a custom composite-spring rear suspension. All of
this is tied to the ground by a set of custom color-matched 18-inch
Boze wheels with Goodyear Eagle rubber. Going fast often means
stopping quickly and this car can do that, too. It sports a custom
Wilwood brake system, with 6-piston front calipers and 4-piston
calipers in the rear. Details matter, and this Nova SS has plenty
of them, including a stainless-steel exhaust and fuel tank, a
booming Pioneer stereo, Vintage Air heat and air conditioning,
Dakota Digital gauges and CAD/CAM-designed front and rear spoilers.
