This 1956 Chevy Pro-Touring build was completed in 2020 by premier
builder Paul's Rods and Restos on Long Island, NY. The big-window
Chevy sits on a Roadster Shop Revo chassis and is fitted with
tubular control arms, AFCO coilover shocks, 4-link rear with
Panhard bar and power rack & pinion steering. Powered by a new GM
LS3 V8 engine fitted with a custom intake, Vintage Air front runner
system, backed by a GM 4L70 4-speed automatic overdrive
transmission turning a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.73 gears. This
custom pickup rides on Foose Knight wheels, 20-inch rears and 18
inches up front, wrapped in low-profile red line tires, 345/30
rears and 255/45 fronts. Stopping is handled by 13-inch Baer power
disc brakes. Custom touches abound, with the hood being pie-cut for
a sleeker look, a 55 Chevy grille and parking lights seamlessly
integrated into the nose, front and rear bumpers sectioned for a
close body fit, a removable visor fitted to the top of the
windshield and roof lines, flush door handles and a set of 54 Chevy
LED taillights precision fit to the rear fenders. The bed features
a hidden-hinge tailgate, rounded corners and mini-tubs, and is
finished in birdseye maple wood with a retractable fuel fill access
panel. The underbody is meticulously detailed and features a
2.5-inch stainless-steel exhaust system with Quick Time cutouts,
MagnaFlow mufflers and polished tailpipes. Other features include
an E-stop electric e-brake and Rick's stainless-steel fuel tank.
Further modifications include a Ringbrothers charging port,
fabricated under-hood support, fabricated inner-fender wells and
fabricated firewall. The interior features a custom fit 55 Chevy
Bel Air dash and lower dash panel, custom-built console with Lokar
shifter, Vintage Air controls, power windows, stainless cup
holders, Pioneer sound system with navigation, Bluetooth and Sirius
radio, an Ididit steering column and Classic Instruments gauges.
The Chevy Colorado power bucket seats, custom door panels and
headliner are wrapped in black Relicate leather trimmed with red
stitching. The exterior is expertly finished in PPG Iridium Gray
and the underbody has been finished to color-match the bedliner.
Just 1,500 test miles since completion.
