Vehicle Description
This 1967 Chevelle SS Resto-Mod is the result of a two-year
frame-off restoration with over 2,500 hours invested. The car has
over 500 test miles prior to customer delivery. The car is a
multiple award-winner, including a Top 25 award at Car Craft
Nationals, First in Class for Outstanding Paint and Outstanding
Interior at the World of Wheels in Milwaukee, Meguiar's Magnificent
Award of Excellence at Goodguys Nationals in Columbus and the
Goodguys Award of Excellence at the Southeastern Nationals. The car
was in Super Chevy in December 2017 and in the fall edition of
Chevelle magazine. It was also featured on Season 1 of "Speed is
the New Black," which aired on Velocity and MotorTrend. The car has
all-new chrome from Advanced Plating, all-new stainless and new
glass throughout. The frame was powder-coated. Finished in a
high-end Glasurit paint with five coats of clear, which was sanded
and buffed to a show-quality finish. The power comes from a Holley
fuel-injected GM ZZ 502ci engine with 508hp and 580 ft/lbs of
torque. The crate engine is hooked to an electronically controlled
Bowler Performance 4l75E automatic transmission. The exhaust flows
through a hand-built and polished 3-inch exhaust system with Borla
mufflers and high-flow MagnaFlow cats to reduce exhaust smell. The
rear end is a built 12-bolt with 3.73 posi-traction gears and hooks
up nicely off the line. The suspension uses RideTech shockwaves
with AccuAir digital controls. ViaAir pumps and an oversized air
tank result in quick-moving suspension changes. The wheels are
Billet Specialties turbines that have been road-force balanced. The
interior is a combination of TMI panels and custom work. The gauges
are from Dakota Digital, the stereo system can be controlled via
Bluetooth and the wiring harness is an American Autowire system.
The trunk is finished to match the interior, including
sound-deadening. Creature comforts come via a tried-and-true
Vintage Air climate-control system that includes all new heating
components. This is a show-winning Chevelle SS, built with the
highest-quality parts.
