This 1968 C10 short-bed received a complete ground-up, professional
restoration and custom build that took over five years and has less
than 2,000 miles driven since completion. Starting with a clean
original frame and cab, this truck was built to keep that classic
look, while adding modern technology throughout. Powered by a
6.2-liter LS3 GM V8 crate engine with added COMP cam, Jet
Black-coated Billet Specialties front-drive system along with
Vintage Air and hidden wiring and air conditioning lines. The
candy-painted engine is paired with a 6L80E 6-speed automatic
transmission connected to a narrowed 12-bolt rear-end housing Eaton
Truetrac gears and Dutchman axles. Underneath the body showcases
custom black Jet-coated MagnaFlow exhaust, aluminum gas tank and
mandrel bent airlines. The original frame has been boxed and
notched with a rear-flowing subframe to allow the rear drop, and
upfront is fitted with an independent Scott's Hotrods Super Slam
independent front suspension kit with 4-wheel Baer disc brakes all
around. The air-ride has Slam Specialties air bags, RideTech billet
adjustable shocks, AccuAir valves and an e-Level air management
system. This custom C10 rides on one-off, three-piece, 22x9-inch
and 22x10.5-inch U.S. Mags wheels powder-coated in Transparent
Lollypop Red and wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires. The trucks
steering wheel is cut to the same style to match the wheels. Subtle
modifications include shaved locks, antenna, smoothed wiper cowl,
one-piece power windows, double-wall inner bed, custom-fabricated
metal inner fenders and a rear window that is stretched 2.5 inches
lower to match the side-window profile. Professionally finished in
BMW two-tone Space Gray and Alpine White II with custom black Volvo
perforated leather interior. Full hidden JL Audio sound system that
has speakers mounted in custom kick panels with subwoofers behind
the custom Glide Engineering seat. Feature articles in C10 Builders
Guide and Truckin' magazines and winner of a Goodguys 29th Pacific
Northwest Nationals Top 10 Builders Choice award. **TITLE IN
