Vehicle Description
This 1966 Mustang was the result of a 5-year and $200,000-plus
Resto-mod project designed and built by Sabas Customs from Grand
Junction, CO. The frame is custom as is the 347ci V8 engine which
is mated to a TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission. It has a
hydraulic clutch and coilover adjustable shocks, an aluminum
radiator with two electric fans, and MSD ignition and an E-Stopp
electric parking brake. The interior is custom tan leather, and the
exterior is a two-tone gray over silver matte. The Mustang wears
Wilwood brakes on the four corners and has 17-inch Forgeline
staggered wheels measuring 7 inches wide up front and 9 inches in
the rear. The battery was relocated to a custom box in the trunk.
It is equipped with AutoMeter gauges and a stereo amplifier that
allows for playing music from and iPhone or iPod. The car has
push-to-start function. The doors are shaved with electric door
poppers to open from the outside using a remote. The car has custom
touches throughout, including the grille and rear quarter air
vents.
