Restored to concours condition in 2010, this 1968 Mercury Cougar
GT-E is powered by a 427ci V8 engine mated to a C6 Merc-O-Matic
automatic transmission with 3.50 standard axle ratio. During
restoration, the Cougar's all-steel rust-free body was rotisserie
soda-blasted. The Cougar is finished in Cardinal Red paint over a
black interior, and a Marti Report is included in the sale. It was
decided to replace the original rusted body with a California rust
free body. The original W Code 427 Cougar VIN number was welded
back into the drivers apron and the original dash VIN plate was
installed on the donor body.
