1972 Pantera pre-L with 29,050 actual miles finished in red over
black, powered by a 351ci Cleveland V8 engine mated to a 5-speed
manual ZF transmission. The dash retains its original Becker Europa
AM/FM stereo, which is mounted vertically alongside the auxiliary
gauges and a factory tool kit. Sold new in California the car
stayed with its original owner until 1989. The second owner removed
the original 351ci engine, built and installed a new 351ci
Cleveland with a full-roller camshaft, lifters and rocker arms, MSD
ignition, Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley 750cfm carburetor, and
a custom exhaust. At that time the car was repainted in its
original color of red with a glass-out, bare-metal repaint in
single-stage enamel to a very high standard. The full sorting of
the car includes a rechrome of the bumpers and various trim pieces.
Additional features include a fully sorted cooling system, a new
water pump, new hoses, belts, recored radiator, new OEM reservoir
tanks, all-new brake lines, calipers, brake pads, fully sorted
electrical, turn signals, hazard flashers and new headlight motors
and gears. The air conditioning was also converted to R134A. All
work by the current owner was conducted by Mike Higgins of Vehicle
Performance Center in Phoenix, AZ. Higgins is a nationally known
guru in the Pantera community and personally spent over 131 hours
of work on this car. No detail was left unattended. This Pantera
comes with the removed original engine and other spare parts,
documentation dating back to the first owner, the original
California Blue Plate, an owner's manual and the Window Sticker
addendum.
