Vehicle Description
Built by California Classics Automotive Services in Burlingame,
well known for concours-quality restorations, this Mustang is
finished in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue LeMans stripes. It
is powered by a Roush 347/461hp engine with 415 ft/lbs of torque.
It has a polished Tru Trac serpentine belt system and a polished
stainless radiator overflow tank and hydraulic fluid reservoir. It
is mated to an aluminum bellhousing with a TREMEC TKO-600 5-speed
manual transmission, a Tilton hydraulic release bearing and a
10.5-inch Kevlar clutch with Hurst shifter. Also featuring a
Mattson's custom stainless 4-inch radiator and dual electric fans
to keep the car cool in hot days even in traffic. The Currie 9-inch
Tru Trac rear end has 3.5:1 gears in a polished aluminum third
member and 31-spline performance axles. The Hydro-Boost powered
brakes push 6-piston Wilwood calipers (painted to match the blue
stripes) in the front and 4-piston in the rear. It has 13-inch
slotted and cross-drilled rotors all around. The full Global West
suspension has dual-adjustable QA1 coilovers in the front and
dual-adjustable QA1 shocks in the rear. The mid-eye five-leaf rear
springs keep the car planted. There are 17x8-inch wheels front and
17x9-inch in the rear. The adjustable Global West Monte Carlo Bar
clears the distributor easily and comes with a rear electric fuel
pump. Other features include a trunk-mounted yellow-top battery and
a custom 2.5-inch stainless-steel exhaust system with cutouts for
direct side exhaust or rear exhaust through MagnaFlow mufflers. The
all-steel body and hood has Shelby scoops on the hood and sides.
Custom JMR 6-gauge cluster with AutoMeter full-sweep SportComp II
gauges. Roll bar with 4-point Simpson Racing belts. Has Vintage Air
climate control, a GT350-style steering wheel, Shelby floor/trunk
mats and a GT350R front fascia. Other features include a trap door
to the trunk, folding rear seat with lap belts and double-DIN
Pioneer touchscreen stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. The TMI
black vinyl interior has suede inserts and white stitching on the
front bucket seats, the rear bench and the center console, as well
as Dynamat under the black pile carpet. The exterior features
stainless window trim, and Carroll Shelby autographed the glove box
door. Comes with the custom Covercraft cover, 1965 Black Plates and
original 1965 stickers.
