This meticulously built one-off custom 1971 Ford Bronco done by
Horsepower Customs (HPC), Todd Clement out of San Clemente,
California was completed in 2021 with 400 test miles. The attention
to detail is second to none, as it was built with both drivability
and durability in mind. Utilizing only the best components,
modified or custom designed and built by HPC in-house to Todd's
specifications. Power comes from a new Blueprint Ford Racing 347ci
stroker crate engine with 416 hp and equipped with Holley Sniper
Fuel Injection mated to a performance 4-speed automatic overdrive
transmission, built by the experts at Chino Hills Performance
Transmission. The torque converter is tuned to the power of the
engine and passed through ARB air-lockers into both the Dana 44
front and a Ford 9-inch rear with 4.11 gearing. New Yukon 300M
axles complete the rear end with all new/upgraded components from
wheel stud to wheel stud. Additionally, the top-of-the-line
driveline built by Drivelines Inc., uses all American components.
It features an aluminum radiator with electric fan, powder-coated
headers leading 2-into-1, through a MagnaFlow muffler and into a
3-inch mandrel bent chrome tipped exhaust. The stance is attributed
to a custom 3-inch lift, supported all around by Rancho shocks,
Eibach springs, and coupled with modern power steering, to
mindfully balance the trucks handling on and off-road. The 35-inch
Yokohama Geolandar M/T tires wrapped around black 17-inch Method
Race Wheels. 4-wheel power disc brakes with a Wilwood master
cylinder were installed for absolute stopping power. The exterior
is finished in Range Rover Firenze Red Pearl paint with five coats
of PPG clear rounded out by color matched custom HPC upgraded
heavy-duty flares, all complemented with black accents. LED
Headlights light the way. The one-off heavy duty steel front bumper
has recessed Vision X LED lights and is fabricated with integrated
bumperettes that harkens back to the original. These extend under
the frame and support the front skid plate. A Warn winch is hidden
just behind the bumpers face, cradled within a custom chromoly
tubular structure. AMP Research power steps are mounted via custom
brackets and fold out of site to retain the classic look yet offer
modern ease of entry and exit from the truck. A custom heavy-duty
rear bumper includes an HD swing-out spare tire carrier with a
matched full-size spare. The body is soundproofed in Hushmat from
the top of the firewall down, throughout the doors, in and over the
top of the rear fenders and up behind the rear quarter cards. The
interior is completed in exquisite high-grade black Napa leather,
diamond stitched in red with matching custom door panels and rear
interior side panels. The same leather is used to cover the armrest
of custom HPC designed T6 aluminum fabricated center console which
cleanly houses the ARB locker switches, dual cup holders, and
Vintage Air modern climate controls. The center console
incorporates both hidden and open storage, as well as surrounds the
twin-sticks wrapped in matching leather and billet aluminum base
plate. A high-end German box knit red wool carpet completed with
silk edging runs throughout the floor and covers the interior of
the tailgate. Rounding out the interior is a HPC custom fabricated
shaved and color-matched dash featuring a tilt column, suede
covered steering wheel, modern instrumentation, a Pioneer
touch-screen sound system, updated air vents, and interior foot
lights. Finishing off the black accents are a custom HPC fabricated
wiper motor cover with sun visors, a custom 6-point roll-cage with
integrated grab handles, and front row shoulder seat belt mounts on
HPC designed swept back B-pillars allowing greater head clearance.
A full black BesTop bimini tops off this one-of-a-kind Resto-Mod
Bronco.
