Vehicle Description
This stunning Camaro was custom-ordered during the peak of the
muscle car era in the summer of 1967 and is just one of the mere
602 Z/28s manufactured in the first year. Of all 1967 Camaros
produced, fewer than 4 percent were finished in the Tahoe Turquoise
color. Fast forward to 2021, and the Z/28 still looks like it did
when new, complements of an exceptional comprehensive restoration
in the '90s that has stood the test of time, as well as the careful
ownership of this muscle car. The Z/28 is powered by a warranty
replacement 302ci solid-lifter V8 engine that General Motors and
Chevrolet conservatively rated at 290hp. All this power is
transferred to the pavement via the Muncie close-ratio 4-speed
manual transmission and durable 12-bolt posi-traction rear axle.
Power front disc brakes, anti-roll bar and traction bar keep the
car pointed in the right direction. A laundry list of optional
equipment includes Rally Sport package, tilt steering column,
console with gauges and remote driver side. Original documentation
is abundant with the presence of the sales invoice, owner's manual
as well as Protect-O-Plate and Camaro Hi-Performance Certificate.
In addition, ownership papers from new for the mostly two-owner car
are included as well. A USCC Nationals Gold Award-winner, the Z/28
has also been featured in several Camaro reference and fact books.
Also included with the purchase is a "restoration" 302 block that
has been professionally Magnafluxed and possesses the ideal casting
date and proper vehicle information placed on the original virgin
stamp pad.
