This stunning undocumented big-block 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle
convertible has been carefully restored to an immaculate level and
is ready to be shown or driven. The restoration resulted in
laser-straight body panels before being finished in a beautiful
coat of its correct Trim Tag-matching Cranberry Red paint (code
75). Powering this drop-top is the 454ci V8 engine with chrome
valve covers as well an air cleaner, all mated to a Muncie M21
4-speed manual transmission and sturdy 12-bolt rear axle with
posi-traction. The correct black vinyl interior (code 756) has been
restored. The front bucket seats, door panels, center console and
upholstery all show extremely well. The glass, trim and chrome are
also in excellent condition. Features and options include power
convertible top, air conditioning, power front disc brakes, power
steering, Rally wheels, Firestone Wide Oval tires, dual exhaust
system with polished tips, black hood and deck stripes, and center
console with Muncie shifter. Other highlights are the sport
steering wheel, tachometer and full instrumentation, hideaway
windshield wipers, and a cowl-induction hood. Production numbers
for the 1970 Chevelle convertible were very low, with only 7,141
units being produced.
