that was completed in 2012. Powered by a 327/300hp engine with a
4-speed manual transmission, the car has never been on wet roads or
driven in the rain. With an NCRS shipping date of 1965, the
Corvette was ordered by David Andel of Alhambra, CA, on January 30,
1965, with a production date of April 12, 1965. Factory options
include telescopic steering wheel, 4-speed manual transmission,
inside no-glare mirror, back-up lamps, Soft Ray tinted glass,
Silver Pearl paint, AM/FM radio, P205/75Rx15 American Classic
whitewall tires, posi-traction rear axle with 3.36 ratio and 300hp
327ci V8 Turbo Fire engine. Included is the original delivery
documentation, including Protect-O-Plate and new Corvette owner's
kit, which includes the lapel pin, Corvette owner card in Andel's
name with the vehicle serial number, key number and patch. In
addition, a personally hand-signed welcome letter by Semon "Bunkie"
Knudsen is included along with the original Window Sticker
(verified by Roy Sinor) and a complete set of owner's manuals.
Andel owned the car for 40 years and drove the Corvette
approximately 56,000 miles until his death in 2005. The Corvette
was then purchased in 2009 and began a four-year total frame-up
restoration, which was completed 2013. The restoration was recorded
with over 200 photos available on a thumb drive. Original items
were preserved or restored and each original part number was
verified and documented. This Corvette is a true time capsule and
was completely restored with 59,557 miles currently showing on the
odometer (mileage not indicated on the title). Everything is
included in this sale, including a car cover, trickle charger,
California Black Plate and original keys.
