This car was sold new in Fort Worth, TX, at Holiday Lincoln-Mercury
and has remained in North Texas via its three owners. The
matching-numbers 428ci Ram Air engine has had a professional
no-expense-spared rebuild with all the documentation. The cylinder
heads have had a three-angle valve job and hardened seats were
installed, along with all-new valves and springs, retainers and
keepers. The engine has been balanced, with new cam, lifters,
timing chain and Melling M57 oil pump. The rods have been resized
with all-new bearings throughout. The carburetor has been rebuilt
and has a new seal. The car rides on new Mercury-style steel wheels
wrapped in reproduction Goodyear Polyglas tires. Lots of NOS parts
were used when putting this Cyclone back together. This is a very
highly optioned car, most notably power windows and a
climate-control system that was upgraded to modern R134
refrigerant. This car has received Gold Awards both times it was
shown at the Chicago Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. Includes
extensive documentation dating back over four decades in a binder,
along with the Elite Marti Report.
