Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevelle SS 396 is powered by an L78 396ci 4-bolt main V8
engine and mated to a rebuilt Muncie 4-speed manual transmission
with 4.11 gears and a new posi-traction rear end. The engine has
been dyno-tested and produces 412hp and 401 ft/lbs of torque at
5,400 rpm. The Chevelle is finished in factory Black 19 paint and
has 1,100 miles since the restoration was completed in January
2019. The 396 engine was newly rebuilt and features aluminum
cylinder heads and solid lifters. The Chevelle features a white
interior with bucket seats, console, and sport wheel and new
dashboard, gauges and 6,500 rpm tachometer. The wiring, glass,
brake lines, brakes, exhaust, Hurst shifter, gas tank and radiator
are all new, and the Chevelle rolls on SS wheels with BFGoodrich
tires.
